Job Description:
This role supports the Associate Dean and the Director of the Office for Faculty Affairs (HSC), managing the day-to-day operations of the office while leading the office in the Director’s absence. The Office of Faculty Development and Affairs serve as a resource for senior administration, chairs, department support staff and faculty members on policies, faculty rules and regulations, promotion, tenure, benefits, retirement, and all areas pertaining to faculty development and affairs on the health science campus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required or will accept ten (10) years of applicable experience in lieu of higher education.
Preferred areas of study include but not limited to: Business Administration, Communications, Management, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration
Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative and/or business experience required.
General HR experience preferred
Knowledge of UT systems preferred
Communication and other skills:
Interpersonal skills which reflect a positive work environment
Ability to work with large amounts of complex data with accuracy and confidentiality
Proficient in use of MS Office Suite products
Strong analytical, application and critical thinking skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Professional integrity and reliability
