Job Description:

The Department of Communication and Media at the University of Toledo seeks to hire an assistant lecturer specializing primarily in media production, with a focus on TV studio production, video editing, and single-camera production to start August 2025. These courses are foundational to our curriculum, equipping students with the technical and creative skills essential for careers in media production, broadcasting, and digital storytelling. Additionally, we are especially interested in candidates with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in media production, as well as other complementary areas such as motion graphics, post-production workflows, or emerging technologies like AR/VR. AI expertise is particularly valuable as the media industry increasingly integrates AI-powered tools into content creation, editing, and dissemination processes. This secondary specialization would allow the department to expand its offerings, attract more students, and ensure we remain at the forefront of industry trends. This hire is critical to advancing our mission of providing cutting-edge, hands-on education that prepares students for the evolving media landscape.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a Master's degree in Communication or a related field and experience in Media Production.
