Job Description:
The Business Intelligence & Analytics Consultant provides technical expertise in the maintenance of the current database system for the Office of Institutional Research as well as the development, design and implementation of new data infrastructures and analytical tools to enhance the efficiency, consistency, and capacity of the institution’s shared business intelligence system.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in computer science, information technology, engineering, data science, business, social science or closely-related field with a strong quantitative/analytic focus.
• Minimum of ten years’ experience working in higher education.
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in institutional research, data analytics, or business intelligence with demonstrated expertise in writing SQL query extracts from an enterprise information system, database design, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
• Experience building and maintaining SQL queries and reports, performing quality checks and validations of data reports, and developing and maintaining procedural documentation.
• Expertise with relational databases
• Familiarity with Banner student and employee database systems
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams
