Job Description:
The responsibility of this position is to provide support and ensure optimal performance of all ambulatory applications, engage/actively participate in ambulatory applications design, implementation, support, troubleshooting, management, and maintenance. This is an active working manager position in addition to being responsible for managing and mentoring ambulatory applications support analyst staff. This position will work with vendors to ensure the interests and expectations of the University on ambulatory healthcare are met. The manager works directly with outpatient customers (physicians, nurses, medical staff, faculty and medical students), IT teams, UT technology providers and vendors to support and implement ambulatory solutions. This position is also responsible for ambulatory project development and management, and the technical integration of ambulatory applications as needed. The position reports to the Director, Healthcare IT and represents the IT department with other hospital departments and vendors. Other responsibilities are stated below.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
•
Bachelor’s degree
•
Five to seven (5 – 7) years experiences in healthcare IT environment
•
Three to five (3-5) years prior experience in project management, system development and personnel management
•
Maintain a detailed understanding and working knowledge of ambulatory applications.
Communication and other skills:
•
Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
•
Demonstrates a proactive approach to customer service.
•
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills.
