Job Description:
The Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner (A.R.C.P.) has completed the National Board for Respiratory Care
Registry examination (R.R.T.), and is experienced in both routine and advanced critical respiratory care.
Practical knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the cardiopulmonary system is required
to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients receiving Respiratory Care. The Advanced Respiratory
Care Practitioner must demonstrate clinical application and theoretical knowledge consistent with the current
literature and accepted practice of the profession, in the principles of cardiopulmonary disease and appropriate
treatment, over the life span of the patient.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current State Medical Board of Ohio Respiratory Care Professional license.
• CPR and BLS Certified through the American Heart Association. Certification must be active at time of hire
and maintained throughout employment in position.
