Job Description:
The Assistant Professor duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Geography and Planning program. Other responsibilities include advising students; scholarly activities; establishing and maintaining research within their discipline; applying for externally-funded grants, and making the results of the research public in recognized scholarly journals or by other methods that allow the work to make an impact; service on college, university and professional committees; community service including making meaningful connections with schools, educational institutions and community organizations; and attendance at and participation in college and university events. The Assistant Professor will be required to schedule a minimum of five office hours per week during each academic semester.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements
• Ph.D. in Geography, with a specialization in Geographic Information Science, and
• Specialized knowledge in Geographic Information Systems, Quantitative Methods, and Spatial Analysis.
