Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Operating Room Supervisor and/or Nursing Staff and Physicians, assists in the technical support of clinical activities of the Operating Room. Regularly assists all customers of the Operating Room arena in a professional manner. Will assist in the care for patients as identified in the unit’s Scope of Care and assist in the care of the patients in the following stages of the life cycle: infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
2. Previous experience transporting patients or experience as an Anesthesia Tech required.
3. Must complete Heartsaver course within probationary period.
4. Physical requirements:
a. Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable.
b. Ability to hear (with or without aides).
c. Ability to orally communicate.
d. Good manual dexterity.
e. Ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally.
f. Ability to stand, walk frequently.
g. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and kneel frequently.
h. Ability to perform CPR.
Preferred Qualifications:
Anesthesia technician certification preferred.
