Job Description:
This role will be responsible for managing risk identification programs, risk financing, and risk control. This includes providing oversight and management of UToledo's professional, property, and casualty insurance programs used to finance risk, as well as supporting its retained risk programs through UToledo's captive insurance company. This role will be an institutional resource on risk management and insurance programs and will work closely with a variety of stakeholders. The Director of Risk Management and Insurance will assist and support the AVP/CRO with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in risk management and Insurance, business administration or equivalent education/experience is required.
• 10+ years of relevant risk management or insurance experience.
• Experience in strategic risk management and an insurance leader with successful track record is preferred.
