Job Description:
The Training and Organizational Development Specialist acts as a trusted partner with stakeholders and provides consultation to managers, faculty, and staff in the areas of learning and development. The Training and OD Specialist supports the Director to design, develop, and deliver training and OD programs and strategies that drive employee and organizational performance and enhance effectiveness. Primary areas of focus are supporting efforts around the learning and development philosophy as it relates to performance management, career coaching, employee on-boarding, employee & leadership learning and development and employee engagement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources development, business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with employee development programs, including training design, execution, and facilitation. Additional
experience in planning and data tracking/analysis is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, consultative, relationship building and conflict management skills in order to initiate and develop productive, collaborative
partnerships with all levels of partners and leadership across the organization.
• Ability to operate in an ambiguous and highly matrix organizational structure. Ability to operate in a highly autonomous self-directed manner under
frequently changing structures and requirements and work priorities.
• Instructional design and platform training presentation/facilitation skills.
