Job Description:

The Clinical Lab Associate 1 (CLA-1) functions under the general supervision of the Interprofessional Simulation and Learning Resource Center Director in the College of Nursing. Major responsibilities include the preparation, instruction and evaluation of assessment skills, technical skills and clinical reasoning skills of students in the Learning Resource Center (LRC) and the Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center (IISC).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience/Licensing:
• BSN required; MSN Preferred
• Unencumbered current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
• Proficient in assessment and application of nursing technologies.
• Competency in instructing, coaching and mentoring students.
• Good independent judgment in evaluating student performance.
• Proficiency in maintenance of student performance records. Ability to implement advanced simulation activities. Expertise in software applications

Communication and other skills:
• Excellent verbal, nonverbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with others and promote a positive team relationship.
• Must have the ability to, as well as meet, the requirements to complete and maintain mandatory training per the University mandatory training policy pursuant to the deadlines set forth therein.
