Job Description:

The University of Toledo, College of Medicine and Life Science is seeking a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor to join the Department of Psychiatry as we expand our academic and clinical enterprise. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the field of psychiatry through clinical care, teaching, research, and scholarly activities. This position offers a unique and dynamic opportunity to make significant contributions to patient care and education in an academic setting as a new graduate or as an advanced professional.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and comprehensive patient care services including, but not limited to, Adult Psychiatric Consultation Service (which covers inpatient med/surg units and ED), Neuromodulation (ECT and TMS), as well as limited outpatient services.
• Participate in academic activities including teaching, mentorship and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.
• Collaborate and participate in conducting clinical research trials and other assignments according to the needs of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Medical degree MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry- Must be obtain & maintain within three (3) years from hire.
• Unrestricted OH Medical license
• Unrestricted DEA license

Required Experience:
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in clinical care, education.
• Strong people skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.
• Experienced in teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows preferred.
• Interest and experience in research is a plus.
