Job Description:
This Postdoctoral Fellow will work in the lab of Dr. Matam Vijay Kumar in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology. This Postdoctoral Fellow will be primarily responsible for designing and conducting experiments related to this lab's research interests, which seek to understand the role of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) in inflammatory bowel disease using murine models of colitis. This Postdoctoral Fellow is expected to conduction experiments and data analysis in an independent way, choose procedures appropriate for data acquisition, and be able to make independent judgments concerning experimental design and needed modifications to experimental protocols as well as troubleshooting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with other laboratory workers.
- Must be motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of data analysis and graphic programs.
