Job Description:

Maintains standards of professional nursing practice and coordinates total nursing care for patients with consideration of their specific age needs. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other health care professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  1. Active RN licensure in the State of Ohio required.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with med-surg care, orthopedic care, with documented evidence of expertise in this area.
  3. BLS required.
  4. Specialty certification preferred.   
  5. Supervisory and/or leadership experience desired or demonstrates ability to assume leadership role. Excellent communication skills required. Ability to promote a team environment is required with excellent understand of customer service.
  6. May be required to rotate shifts or units, and work weekends.
  7. Physical requirements:
    1. visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable;
    2. ability to hear (with or without aides)
    3. ability to orally communicate
    4. good manual dexterity
    5. ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally
    6. ability to stand, walk frequently
    7. ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently; and
    8. ability to perform CPR.
