Job Description:

The Point-of-Care Lab Sr. Tech oversees the development, implementation, training, competency, and quality control programs for waived and non-waived testing across UToledo Health clinical sites. It ensures compliance with The Joint Commission standards through policy development, site visits, and collaboration with clinic leadership, while serving as a technical resource and supporting accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree from accredited institution and MT(ASCP) or equivalent ASCP certification.
• Demonstrates above average ability in professional application of the principles, theories and techniques of Point of Care Testing.
• Minimum 1 year experience with POCT instrumentation, such as: glucometer, iStat, Clinitek, and others.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft WORD.
• Must have working knowledge of EXCEL spreadsheets/database. Must be proficient in EXCEL by the end of the 180-day probationary period.
