Job Description:
The Toledo Transition (T2) Program is seeking to hire Job Coach & PreEts Instructors. This position provides instructional, operational, and collaborative leadership to support students with disabilities in developing skills for post-secondary education, employment, and independent living. Job Coach & PreEts Instructors deliver classroom instruction, facilitate campus and community experiences, and work closely with the Program Administrator to ensure high quality programming aligned with university and state guidelines. The role also includes teaching Pre Employment Transition Services (Pre ETS) content to support students’ vocational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
• Job Coach — Provides support to Toledo Transition students through OOD job search and job coaching.
• Classroom Instruction — Teach course content related to executive functioning, independent living, self advocacy, social participation, and disability awareness on a contingent basis.
• Pre ETS Instruction — Deliver Pre Employment Transition Services content, including workplace readiness, career exploration, self advocacy, and soft skills development; collaborate with state and community partners as needed.
• Collaboration with Program Administrator — Work closely with the Program Administrator to align curriculum, ensure compliance, coordinate staffing, and support strategic planning for program growth.
• Student Support — Provide individualized and group support, assist students in developing routines, time management strategies, and self regulation skills.
• Stakeholder Communication — Serve as a liaison to families, campus partners, community organizations, and collaborating departments to ensure cohesive support for students.
• Data & Documentation — Maintain accurate records, track student outcomes, and prepare reports for internal review, accreditation, and grant related activities.
• Training & Mentorship — Support onboarding and development of instructors, graduate assistants, and student workers involved in T2 programming.
• Safety & Compliance — Ensure adherence to university policies, disability services guidelines, and best practices in post-secondary education.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
• Familiarity with OOD provider processes
• Classroom Instruction
• Computer literate
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associates Degree
• Background in Special Education
