Job Description:
The Faculty Labor Relations Consultant provides support to the Office of Faculty Labor Relations by planning for and conducting investigations into contract violations, potential disciplinary actions, harassment and/or discrimination claims. The role provides support to the academic leadership team (Provost, Deans and Chairs) regarding contract interpretation, issue resolution and disciplinary and non-disciplinary investigations.
This position serves as a resource for management training programs that will provide more understanding of the faculty collective bargaining agreement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
•Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Management or related field required
•A minimum of one (1) year of experience with labor and employee relations required.
•A minimum of one (1) experience conducting investigations.
•Experience and familiarity with reviewing claims of illegal and unlawful conduct, analysis of evidence, drafting investigation reports.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Communication and other skills:
•Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
•Ability to prioritize and efficiently execute a high volume and broad scope of tasks within tight deadlines.
•Proficient skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•Demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
•Ability to collaborate with others.
•Must be able to exhibit professional behavior at all times.
•Must be able to judge where discretion should be used and have critical thinking skills.

•Juris Doctor
