Job Description:

The Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science in the College of Engineering at The University of Toledo is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to perform interdisciplinary research in cyber-physical-human systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The successful candidate will have opportunities to conduct research and develop scholarly activities with academic and industry partners and graduate and undergraduate students. The postdoctoral research associate will apply computational methods, including machine learning, embedded systems, distributed computing, and data analytics, to areas such as intelligent systems, cybersecurity, digital twins, and autonomous systems. The individual will also contribute to research publications and collaborative proposal development. The initial appointment will be for one year and may be renewed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Research or professional experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cyber-physical systems, cybersecurity, data analytics, or related areas.
