Job Description:

The purpose of the position is to conduct research and to manage the laboratory of Dr. Hermann von Grafenstein.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in chemistry is required with significant experience in designing and running NMR and mass spectrometry experiments, including kinetic studies on hydrogen-deuterium exchange.
• Experience in recombinant DNA technology including primer design, plasmid engineering and protein expression.

Preferred Qualifications:

Communication and other skills:

• Ability to plan and implement novel experimental approaches based on thorough literature searches.
• Ability to guide junior laboratory members such as undergraduate and graduate students who join the laboratory as interns or perform research projects.
