Job Description:
• This position is funded to advance our understanding of covalent inactivator drug candidates that target infectious fungal organisms
• Newly synthesized compounds produced by the person in this position will be evaluated for efficacy against a variety of fungal organisms
Minimum Qualifications:
• The acceptable candidate must possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field
• This candidate must:
o Possess excellent synthetic laboratory skills
o Have experience synthesizing and characterizing drug candidate molecules
o Have a published track record of success achieved on a variety of synthesis projects
o Be capable of working independently to design, test, and complete new synthesis routes to the target compounds of interest
o Have a good working knowledge of molecular modeling and docking software
o Must be detail oriented and have ability to keep organized and accurate records
