Job Description:
The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS), Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking a motivated professional to fill a 12-month tenure track Clinical Assistant / Associate Professor(open rank) position, with an ambulatory care practice within the UToledo Health outpatient psychiatry clinic.
This individual will report to the CPPS Chair of the Pharmacy Practice Department and to the Ambulatory Pharmacy Manager at UToledo Health. More information about the College and the Department of Pharmacy Practice can be found at www.utoledo.edu/pharmacy.
Duties: Overall duties include didactic and experiential teaching, patient care, scholarly activity, and service. The individual will teach in the CPPS PharmD program and will develop and maintain an interprofessional collaborative practice with the UToledo Health Department of Psychiatry. The academic responsibilities of the clinical faculty member may include teaching in the classroom and skills-based laboratory portions of the didactic curriculum, precepting entry level Doctor of Pharmacy students (IPPEs and APPEs) and PGY1 pharmacy residents and advising students. The individual will join an interprofessional collaborative practice with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
The clinical practice will focus on achieving meaningful patient outcomes and may include but is not limited to: chronic disease state management, medication therapy management, transitions of care, telehealth, and population-based quality improvement initiatives. The candidate may also participate in nurse, physician, and pharmacy staff development. Scholarly activity, including coordinating and conducting quality improvement projects, developing collaborative treatment and research protocols, and presenting and publishing original work is expected and will be supported.
Academic rank appointment will be commensurate with experience.
Start date: July 1, 2025 (flexible).

Minimum Qualifications:
PharmD degree and PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (or equivalent experience) required. Experience in psychiatry required. Some research and scholarly activity experience is expected. Must hold current and unrestricted Ohio Pharmacist license or be eligible for licensure with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
Must be eligible for employment in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Psychiatry and teaching / academic experience (e.g. TLCP certificate or equivalent) preferred.
