Job Description:

The Assistant Registrar contributes to the university’s mission and vision by implementing and exercising
functional authority for developing, documenting, organizing, control, integration and completion of system
resources such as Banner, U. Achieve, and Transferology that provide support of all aspects of student
records/services. This position will be responsible for the following functions: train and supervise transfer
credit staff, serve as the Prior Learning Assessment Coordinator, and maintaining compliance with the Ohio
Department of Higher Education’s Transfer Assurance Guarantee, Ohio Transfer 36 guidelines, Transfer
Guaranteed Pathways, Career Technical Assurance Guides, Credit When It’s Due and other ODHE
initiatives. Coordinates academic support functions within the Registrar’s office. This Assistant Registrar will
maintain a high level of knowledge related to Banner, U. Achieve, Transferology, and Registrar’s office
functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing:
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Two to four (2-4) years’ experience with academic enterprise resource planning and management
systems.
• Extensive knowledge of transfer articulation policies and procedures as well as expertise in degree audit
and transfer software.
• Progressively increasing responsibility within a Registrar’s Office or other student services office.
Communication and other skills:
• Ability to prioritize, strategically plan, work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with
frequent interruptions and change of focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Experience working with sensitive and confidential information.
• Proven ability to collaborate with faculty and staff.
• Proven organizational skill required.
• Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution, team management and leadership skills.
• Proven technical skill to troubleshoot systems issues quickly and efficiently.
• Commitment to supporting new technology implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ellucian Banner experience preferred
U. Achieve, Transferology, TES, etc. preferred.
