Job Description:
The Department of Psychology at The University of Toledo seeks outstanding candidates for a full-time 12-month clinical faculty position (non-tenure) to serve as a core member of the clinical faculty and the director of the Psychology Clinic. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and be license eligible in Ohio. Responsibilities include a balance of teaching, supervision, and administrative work, including serving as director of an operational psychology clinic housed withing the Department of Psychology, providing clinical supervision for clinical psychology doctoral students, overseeing externship placements in the community, serving as instructor of record for clinical graduate courses, serving on graduate student research committees, and engaging in outreach to the university and surrounding community. Supervision of clinical work will include outpatient therapy (e.g., group, individual) and assessment (e.g., psychodiagnostics, cognitive). Opportunities for clinical research exist. Use of the clinic space and resources for private practice clients can be negotiated.
Previous clinical supervision experience is preferred. We welcome applications from candidates whose clinical interests focus on underrepresented populations and who have experience supervising or mentoring underrepresented minority students. Salary is competitive with clinic director and faculty positions among our peer institutions and is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS)
- Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the state of Ohio
- Experience in providing clinical supervision (for recent graduates this can include peer supervision)
- Commitment to legal and ethical practices in service delivery and clinical training/supervision.
- Commitment to collegiality, collaboration, respect for all persons, and prioritization of an optimal clinical training environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in providing supervision of clinical psychology graduate students in evidence-based modalities
- Experience creating community connections
- Experience in leadership roles, administrative roles, and/or writing clinical service delivery grants and contracts
- Experience teaching graduate students in clinical psychology (or related disciplines)
- Experience using telehealth modalities for clinical services provision
