Job Description:

This role is the chief technical expert for the Office of Student Financial Aid’s (OSFA) student information system and all related technologies. These systems and technologies regulate the processing for more than 80% of UToledo students. This position leads system operations, infrastructure, implementations, and testing and maintains systems documentation for all colleges at the University of Toledo as well as the College of Law and the College of Medicine & Life Sciences.
This crucial systems leadership position will be responsible for development and monitoring of application processing flow that integrates data from multiple sources. This position will act as OSFA’s liaison with IT and system leaders within university offices that regularly collaborate with OSFA. Serves as OSFA’s data custodian, data security officer and is the project leader for OSFA IT projects. Trains users within OSFA, Rocket Solutions Central, (RSC) and other university constituencies. Serves as a member of the OSFA/RSC Leadership Team and represents OSFA on university committees and work groups. Completes reports and surveys with significant compliance implications for the institution and has significant responsibility for managing the accurate disbursement of millions of dollars of federal, state and institutional aid.

Education/experience/licensing:
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three to five (3 – 5) years’ experience with management of Information systems, academic software systems, financial aid, and large-scale databases.
• Three to five (3 – 5) years’ prior leadership experience supervising employees is preferred.
• Experience with Higher Education Financial Aid required.
• SQL, query writing and Microsoft Access experience is required.
• Experience in the following areas: documenting business requirements, developing project plans and implementing solutions, performance monitoring and tuning of operations processes and business systems, implementing authentication and security controls, troubleshooting end user systems problems.
• Knowledge of micro-computing environments, student information systems, application software, and programming language required.
• Ability to develop and deliver training to system end users.
• Ability to lead technology implementation teams and collaborate with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree.
• Experience with Banner, ApplicationXtender, Dynamic Forms.
