Job Description:
This position's duties include, but are not limited to the following:
•Aid in the creating, implementing and maintaining of a comprehensive social media strategy across all multiple digital platforms, including utrockets.com and team/department social media accounts.
•Create content for in-venue video boards and other promotional purposes that will promote upcoming games/events, create awareness, ticket sales, attendance, and donations to the Rocket Fund.
•Create different marketing materials that complement our brand image and help with accomplishing the department's goals and needs (posters, media guide covers, brochures, direct-mail pieces).
•Other marketing duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Creative Services or Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, Sales and Fan Experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
•The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.
•Designer must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (most importantly; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects).
•Flexibility in terms of handling a variety of assignments under tight deadlines, while maintaining a strong focus on branding, consistency, and quality.
•Experience with in-game photography (personal equipment is not necessary but welcomed if owned). Experience with in-game photography (personal equipment is not necessary but welcomed if owned).
•Work all home football, men's and women's basketball games, as well as other home games for assigned sports.
•Candidates should also possess: strong organizational and writing skills.
