Job Description:
The UToledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences (COMLS) Graduate Programs Coordinator serves as one of the key points of contact for the COMLS Graduate Programs office and has primary responsibility for coordinating all operational aspects of student applications, matriculating students and academic progression in all graduate and undergraduate programs in COMLS. The coordinator will work collaboratively with the COMLS Office of Admissions in all operational aspects of the application processes for COMLS graduate programs. In addition, the coordinator serves as the manager for budgetary and graduate accreditation standards and grant compliance aspects of the COMLS Graduate Programs office. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of COMLS Graduate Programs for day-to-day directions and to the Senior Associate Dean, the coordinator plans and executes events, organizes and performs operational activities for graduate students, program and course directors and faculty in all COMLS graduate programs. This valued team member will perform at a high level of independence and professionalism in accordance with all University and College policies, national accreditation organizations, and other mandates to help ensure the smooth operation of the Graduate Programs office and a student-centered approach to COMLS graduate student affairs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education/experience/licensing:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, management, health science or a related field is required.
• Academic and curriculum scheduling experience required.
• 5 years’ experience in accounting/budgeting, required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, required
• Proficiency in Banner, Lawson, Web Report Library, Concur, Qualtrics, and other computer programs as required within 90 days of hire
• Working knowledge of FERPA, HIPAA, TITLE IX policies and rules.
• Experience planning events (both face-to-face and virtual) for groups of various sizes.
Communication and other skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, required
• Excellent organizational skills, required
• Able to communicate and work effectively with people from a variety of diverse backgrounds, required
• Confidentiality of student records, required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required,
