Job Description:

The Curriculum Systems Analyst is a cross-functional position that manages the overall life cycle of a student’s academic progress by developing, evaluating, and maintaining transfer course and Degree Audit records in the student systems used for academic advising and degree certification. The Curriculum Systems Analyst will assist the Assistant Registrar in establishing UT’s transfer course equivalencies, and when necessary, partner with faculty, admissions, and academic departments. The objective is to ensure that the university delivers the highest level of student customer service, efficient workflow, and accuracy of transfer course evaluation.

The Curriculum Systems Analyst will also be involved with maintaining compliance with the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Transfer Assurance Guarantee, Ohio Transfer 36 guidelines, Transfer Guaranteed Pathways, Career Technical Assurance Guides, Credit When It’s Due, and other state initiatives. This includes all university, international, military, and exam credit.

The Curriculum Systems Analyst communicates with prospective and current transfer students regarding their transfer credit, the transfer credit process, prior learning assessment and maintains all records related to this process. The Curriculum Systems Analyst will provide Degree Audit support by collaborating with peers and maintaining the overall accuracy and usability of every degree program’s degree audit to support retention and graduation rates. The Curriculum Systems Analyst will also help maintain NCAA compliance requirements in all undergraduate degree programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge or ability to master common campus-specific computer applications

Communication and other skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations across campus required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must demonstrate proficiency in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and possess strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience at an accredited educational institution in an admissions/records/college office preferred
• Experience with academic enterprise resource planning and management systems (Ellucian Banner, PeopleSoft), including knowledge of degree audit software (Ellucian DegreeWorks, DARWIN, u.Achieve etc.) preferred
• Knowledge in transfer articulation policies and procedures preferred
