Job Description:
This project involves integrating Hyliion’s KARNO technology with unmanned surface vessels and electric Navy ships. Mechanicals system that shares common platforms are subject to “The Metronome Effect” – a phenomenon that forces the mechanical systems to undesirably synchronize.
In this project, efforts will be undertaken to assess the risk of the Metronome Effect occurring and proper mitigation strategies evolved to prevent the phenomenon from occurring. Simulations and computational methods will be used to evaluate the risk of the effect occurring.
