Job Description:

The Administrative Director, Clinical Laboratories provides administrative management of laboratory and anatomic pathology laboratories for The University of Toledo, off-site core laboratory operations, and all other clinical laboratory activities under the Department of Pathology.

The Administrative Director is involved with policy development, protocol program management, performance improvement, staffing management and leadership of the team members. The Administrative Director has broad and independent responsibilities for planning, developing and managing administrative and programmatic operations, as well as full fiscal oversight to include management enhancement. Oversees all licensure and accreditation requirements for CAP, CLIA, FDA, ODH, and TJC.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• MT (ASCP) certification required.
• Five years clinical laboratory management experience required working in a complex healthcare laboratory.
• Extensive clinical laboratory business knowledge.
• Experience in change management.
• Demonstrate ability to apply knowledge to improve upon industry standards.
• Strong communicator and ability to collaborate.
• Experience in Team Building
• Ability to respond to rapidly changing business environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS) preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.
