Job Description:
The Human Resources (HR) Compliance Specialist is one of the lead investigators for the Office of HR Compliance responsible for a high volume of faculty and staff issues such as harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment and claims of retaliation. The HR Compliance Specialist will also review/process requests for ADA reasonable accommodation and provide support with equal employment opportunity reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, English, or related field required.
Experience and familiarity with reviewing claims of illegal and unlawful conduct, analysis of evidence and drafting investigation reports.
Three (3) years of experience with compliance and proactive affirmative action initiatives preferred
Three (3) years of experience conducting investigations preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a high degree of professionalism.
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
Ability to collaborate with others.
Must be able to always exhibit professional behavior.
Must be able to judge where discretion should be used and have critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Juris Doctor preferred
