The position reports directly to the CMO and the Chairman of the Department of Surgery and represents the College to internal and external constituents to promote, facilitate, and disseminate clinical, education and research activities. Expectations include teaching medical student, PA students, residents, APPS and nurses. The University of Toledo is an ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center. The Trauma Medical Director provides direction and supervision of the clinical components of the Trauma program including personnel. Supervises the care provided to patients admitted to the Trauma service and actively participates in the development and implementation of the trauma service treatment protocols, policies, procedures and objectives.

The Department of OB/GYN is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor, OB/GYN subspecialist to join our team at the University of Toledo Medical Center and ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Our institution features a medical school hospital with a fully accredited OBGYN residency program, active robotic program, gender health seed grant, is currently home to approximately 20 active residents. The department boasts a well-established Level 4 Maternal and Level 3 Neonatal Childbirth unit and Gyn practice in addition to other Gyn subspecialties. This position offers a unique blend of clinical practice, teaching, opportunities for leadership development and growth in a supportive and dynamic environment with potential opportunity for resident/student education leadership. The primary practice location is situated within a large academically affiliated hospital system with options for academic leadership in teaching, such as residency program administration or clerkship administration, as well as involvement in research initiatives. Additionally, there are plans for co-recruitment to form a robust specialty group that includes additional MIGS and/or URPS subspecialists. Position offers leadership opportunities such as Clerkship Director or Residency Director.

Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology & Immunology in Health Science Campus College Toledo, OH
The Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences is recruiting up to two (2) tenure-track faculty, at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, as part of a major expansion of basic science, interdisciplinary, and translational research. We are seeking outstanding scientists who study highly-infectious pathogens, host-pathogen interactions, and/or vaccine/therapeutic development and require biosafety level 3 (BSL3) and animal BSL3 (A-BSL3) containment for these studies. Ideal candidates will study highly-infectious pathogens such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Coxiella burnetii, Yersinia pestis, Rickettsia sp., influenza virus, EEEV, SARS, MERS, West Nile virus, Hantavirus, Chikungunya, etc. The University is undergoing an exciting phase of research infrastructure expansion, including a $7M federal investment to renovate and expand the existing BSL3/A-BSL3 into 6 biocontainment suites, with shared equipment spaces and biocontainment entry/exit showers, for Select Agent, biodefense, and/or emerging infectious disease research.

Program Coordinator, Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center in Health Science Campus College Toledo, OH
Assumes responsibility for logistical aspects of events within the Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center (IISC). Collaborate with IISC staff to optimize resources by coordinating events and training requests, identifying and assessing training needs, and arranging appropriate personnel to support simulation-based activities. Coordinates all aspects of event management, including setup, welcoming and directing guests, and ensuring professional experience. This role is also responsible for identifying event charges, drafting and sending invoice proposals, issuing final invoices, and processing payments. In addition, the position designs and produces monthly activity and financial reports and maintains documentation required for accreditation purposes on behalf of the Director of Immersive and Simulation-Based Learning. This role further supports global health coordination by assisting with organizing rotations abroad and working with international residents who have an interest in UToledo residency programs. Responsibilities include assisting with travel coordination, securing visas, arranging housing placements, and managing transportation during their visits. This position will provide administrative and operational support to both the Director of Immersive and Simulation-Based Learning and the Senior Associate Dean of Simulation and Innovation, contributing to strategic initiatives and ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
