Job Description:

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will support a growing multidisciplinary glass research program encompassing industry-driven projects, advanced glass materials research, and workforce development. The position will contribute to industry-aligned efforts in glass manufacturing technologies and materials performance improvement, while pursuing frontier research alongside these activities with a primary focus on photo-functional glass and thin film materials. The postdoc will also contribute to glass-based electrochemical energy research through application of glass science expertise. Responsibilities include conducting independent and collaborative research; designing and executing experiments; analyzing data; contributing to publications and proposal development; mentoring students; and supporting the development and operation of laboratory capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Glass Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field by the start date.
• Demonstrated background in glass science and engineering, amorphous materials, or related inorganic materials systems.
• Experience designing and conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting results.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to contribute to technical reports, proposals, and scholarly publications.
