Job Description:
The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Toledo invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The selected physician will provide clinical inpatient and outpatient care in a University of Toledo Medical Center–designated practice site and deliver professional medical services on behalf of the University, consistent with the standards of Family Medicine and the highest level of professional competence.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule consists of Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with optional evenings and Saturday appointments
- Clinical education opportunity - 70% clinical time, 30% teaching time
- 30 minute appointments for patients
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records for all professional services, including required reports, claims, and correspondence
- Adhere to the American Medical Association principles of medical ethics and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations
- Follow all University policies and procedures, including proper documentation and coding, HIPAA compliance, and patient privacy requirements
- Uphold the highest standards of patient care, respect patient needs and expectations, and collaborate effectively with the health care team
- Provide clinical instruction to medical students and residents, regularly evaluate performance, deliver timely verbal and written feedback, and document achievement of required competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or equivalent required
- Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency
- Current license in the state of Ohio, prior to beginning the position
