Job Description:
The Football Quality Control Coach plays an integral role in player development while supporting the broader coaching staff. This position is responsible for assisting with practice planning, and implementation of offensive and/or defensive schemes. The Quality Control Coach works closely with position coaches to reinforce technique, fundamentals, and game-plan execution. The Football Quality Control Coach supports the coaching staff by assisting with film analysis, scouting, data organization, and day-to-day football operations.
Responsibilities include conducting detailed film breakdown with a coaching perspective, contributing to scouting and self-scout evaluations, assisting in game-plan preparation, and helping communicate adjustments to players. This role requires a strong football IQ, the ability to teach and communicate effectively, and a hands-on approach during practices and meetings. The position is highly demanding, involving long hours, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and is designed as a developmental role for aspiring full-time coaches.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of football schemes, terminology, and rules.
• Proficiency with football video and data platforms.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior playing or coaching experience (college or professional level).
• Familiarity with offensive or defensive systems.
• Bachelor’s degree (often required at the collegiate level).
• Interest in pursuing a long-term coaching career.
