Job Description:

The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS), Department of Pharmacy Practice (PHPR) is seeking a motivated professional to fill a 12-month Tenure-Tenure Track Assistant / Associate Professor (open rank) position in Health Outcomes. Duties: Overall duties include teaching, scholarly activity, and service.
Teaching: The academic responsibilities of the faculty member include teaching in the classroom and advising students in undergraduate, professional, and graduate programs. The individual will work closely with existing faculty to develop and deliver an online Master’s in Health Outcomes degree program.
Scholarly activity: Scholarly activity, including grant-writing, presentations and publications, is expected and will be supported. The successful candidate will develop a sustainable independent research program with a focus relevant to Health Outcomes or related field(s). The candidate will join an active group of researchers at the pharmacy practice department with extensive research collaboration opportunities across the university campus and nearby health systems.
Service: Service to the department, college and university will be met through involvement on committees and other working groups, with student organizations, and through other opportunities. Salary and start-up package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have earned a PharmD, or a Ph.D. in Health Outcomes, Pharmacy Administration, Health Services Research, Public Health, Health Economics, or closely related disciplines with a strong methodological background in biostatistics and data analytics. Candidates with a PharmD degree must also have at least 2 years of post-doctoral residency and/or fellowship training in Health Outcomes or a related field. Applicants are expected to have some track record of peer reviewed publications in health outcomes, statistical methods, econometric models, or other quantitative methods.
Candidates must be eligible for employment in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with prior teaching experience are preferred.
