Job Description:

The clinical neuropsychologist’s role is to provide outpatient neuropsychological services to patients and families at the University of Toledo Medical Center, including application of neuropsychological procedures for assessment, diagnosis, and education regarding neurocognitive syndromes. Referrals come from any department at UTMC, and from outside facilities as well. The neuropsychologist also acts as an educational and research resource for staff and students of UTMC. The neuropsychologist will also provide supervision of students at UTMC and from other local educational institutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing:
• A doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology or neuropsychology is required.
• Registered and maintain current licensure from Ohio State Board of Psychology is required.
• Successful completion of a two-year (2) postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology is required.
• Maintains the Standards set by the American Psychological Association regarding treatment
procedure and professional ethics.
• Obtains/maintains Basic Life Support Certification (CPR).
• Passes annual safety tests.
Communication and other skills:
• Good written and verbal communication skills to allow for patient care, functioning as a team member,
to assure adequate documentation for payers and to ensure continuity of care.
• Adheres to UTMC service values.

Physical Requirements:
• Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable.
• Ability to hear (with or without aides).
• Ability to orally communicate.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to write and/or type.
• Ability to push, pull, roll, and occasionally transfer/lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk frequently.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently.
• Ability to perform CPR.
