Job Description:

The Program Manager will liaise between NSM and prospective students admitted to the university as well as provide enrolled undergraduate student with new programs to retain them in NSM. This will include students enrolled in the BACC2MS and Case-Western pre-dental programs. Efforts will focus on aspects related to the enrollment process of prospective NSM students as well as supporting current students, including students in the BACC2MD and Case-Western Dental programs post-matriculation and establishment and oversight of a new peer mentoring program. Modification of BACC2MD and Case-Western Dental program is part of the job duties. Coordinates college-level new student orientation activities, including the orientation courses, NSM 1000 and NSM 1500; coordinates on-campus enrollment events and virtual visits between prospective students and college academic units; and organizes specialty programming for BACC2MD and CASE pre-dental students. Coordination with Rocket Career Center to provide students with internship opportunities and involvement in organizing the new Discover STEM Career Expo. This position will provide students with accurate and timely information.

The Program Manager will assist with the development, management, and enhancement of student engagement in NSM with the goal of increased enrollment, mainly through retention and yield initiatives. The Program Manager will function as an integral member of the NSM leadership team.

Tasks will include assisting with event planning and support for the college's recruitment of prospective and admitted students, including student storytelling initiatives to attract prospective students and engage current students and alumni.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education/Experience/Licensing:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and vehicle.

Communication and Other skills:

• Outstanding presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadline as well as proactive.
• Exceptional computer skills with the aptitude for learning new technologies quickly – keeping up with emerging higher education trends and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and cross-functional team player attitude.
• Public speaking ability.
• Must have the ability to, as well as meet the requirements to complete and maintain mandatory training per the University mandatory training policy pursuant to the deadlines set forth therein.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of (five) 5 years professional experience preferred.
