•The Department of Surgery at the University of Toledo, College of Medicine and Life Sciences, is seeking an Associate/Assistant Professor in the Division of General Surgery who is a Fellowship trained minimally Invasive/ Bariatric surgeon. This position will assist the department with patient care, clinical activities, and education.
Responsibilities:
• Laparoscopic, Minimally Invasive Surgical Options including da Vinci Robotic-Assisted Surgery Gastric Bypass Surgery, Gastric Sleeve Surgery and, Revision Bariatric Surgery;
• Provides office follow up of bariatric surgery patients;
• Participates in community outreach activities regarding UTMC’s bariatric surgery services;
• Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion;
• Provides consultation on bariatric surgical issues;
• Trauma/General Surgery call coverage;
• Elective and acute care general surgeries;
•
Requirements:
• Ohio Medical License and DEA;
• Completion of general surgery residency;
• Two years’ experience or fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery;
• Board certified or board eligible in general surgery;
• Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent;
