The Senior Payroll Analyst analyzes the payroll system and monitors the payroll process. Identifies opportunities to streamline activities and optimize performance. Notes weaknesses or deficiencies and implements corrective action plans. Provides technical support and performs testing for system upgrades. Prepares monthly reconciliations and corrections to general ledger accounts. Prepares and maintains supporting documentation as well as workpapers needed for the annual audit. Creates and manages an extensive repository of database reports and queries to enable efficient reporting to both internal and external constituents. Performs statistical analysis on payroll data and maintains various payroll metrics. Assists the Fiscal Manager with special projects and other assignments of significant complexity. Manages research and data analysis and creates reports for upper management as well as internal and external auditors.
