The primary responsibility of the Research Associate is to develop and conduct computational simulations to demonstrate the efficacy of a steady-state reaction device. This role requires expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermomechanical analysis, and reactive species modeling. Successful candidates will be mentored by senior Faculty members within the Center for Hypertension and Personalized Medicine (http://www.utoledo.edu/med/depts/physpharm/hypertension_center/) for up to 3 years and will have competitive opportunities to transition into research or tenure-eligible faculty tracks within the various Departments of the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in areas related to translational glomerular and renal disease research relevant to whole-animal or human physiological systems required. Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with other laboratory workers. Must be motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. Preferred Qualifications: PhD in areas related to translational glomerular and renal disease research relevant to whole-animal or human physiological systems preferred. M.D. background with expertise in nephrology and glomerular pathology is preferred.
