Job Description:
The Auxiliary Services Events Manager provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for University special events, conferences, and related support services. The role ensures high‑quality, customer‑focused event experiences that advance the academic mission, strengthen campus engagement, and support revenue‑generating opportunities.
Serving as the central resource for event planning and execution, the Events Manager oversees scheduling, logistics, and operational processes while collaborating with campus partners and external clients.
Key responsibilities include strategic leadership for campus events, operational oversight, developing and monitoring event management budget, and delivery of exceptional customer service. The Events Manager plays a visible role representing the department across University committees and community partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in hotel, hospitality, event management, or related field, or combination of equivalent experience and training.
• 4 or more years in a higher education setting preferred.
• Preferred 6 years’ experience in conferences and event planning.
• Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience.
• Event Management System software experience, preferred.
