Job Description:
The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Toledo seeks to fill a 9-month Visiting Assistant Professor position for Academic Year 2026-2027. Primary teaching responsibilities include on-campus courses in the University of Toledo’s undergraduate Data Science program including basic data science programming, statistics, and data manipulation.
Review of applications will begin March 1, 2026 and continue until the position is filled.
The starting date will be August 2026.
Interested candidates must submit : 1) a letter of application addressing their professional and teaching experience, 2) a current curriculum vitae, 3) a statement of teaching philosophy, and 4) the names and contact information for three references.

This position is potentially renewable for up to three years based on the availability of funding and job performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will hold an earned master’s degree in a closely related field and demonstrate relevant teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience as a data scientist is desirable.
