Job Description:
This role will serve as the primary liaison with prospective, applicants, and admitted students to support to the Graduate Programs in COMLS and provide support with admission processes including acting as a liaison between COMLS graduate programs and College of Graduate Studies (COGS). Their efforts will focus on managing SLATE databases, coordinate, and disseminate marketing materials, and oversee the SLATE admissions platform. This position will play a key role in the success of COMLS Graduate
Programs admissions initiatives while building and enacting a strong supportive foundation for prospective students and applicants. This critical point of contact will be expected to assist in the admissions process and create and execute a nurturing process and will result in increased applications and enrollments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, education, business, or related field and one to two (1-2)
experience is required.
Experience working in an academic office preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, required.
Proficiency in Banner, Web Report Library and other computer programs as required within ninety (90) days.
Proficiency with SLATE programs such as RFI processing and drip campaigns preferred.
Excellent written and oral skills including public speaking.
Experience implementing communication plans.
Ability to generate and implement new ideas for application process improvements.
Ability to troubleshoot system problems.
Basic understanding of database management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to communicate and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to perform duties with initiative and independence, required.
