Job Description:

The Department of Educational Studies in the Judith Herb College of Education at The University of Toledo is seeking a three-year visiting assistant professor of Educational Psychology. The Educational Psychology program is home to two advanced degrees: an MEd in Educational Psychology and a PhD in Foundations of Education: Educational Psychology emphasis and partners with the Teacher Education department to offer undergraduate coursework preparing future teachers.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in educational psychology. Additionally, the candidate is expected to collaborate within the program, the department, and the university in related duties which may include local service obligations, program assessment, curriculum and recruiting. The candidate will be encouraged to develop or maintain a line of scholarly inquiry leading to publications in peer reviewed journals and work with the Herb Innovation Center for opportunities to develop professional relationships and actively pursue grants in the field.

Successful applicants will possess the following:
• Earned doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in Educational Psychology or a closely related field earned by the position start date; and
• Demonstrated teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following:
• Teaching experience with diverse populations;
• Teaching/advising experience with both undergraduate and graduate students;
• Expertise and/or successful experience in both face-to-face and online instruction using a variety of media; and/or
• A clear research agenda or record of successful scholarship which may include soliciting/securing external funds for research, training, and/or program development.
