Job Description:
Provide oversight of hematology/oncology clinical research enterprise. Provide direct patient care related to hematology/oncology clinical research. Mentor students and residents. Participate in research conferences. Support research endeavors.
• Work in close collaboration with hematology/oncology faculty members to maintain high-level oversight of all hematology/oncology research administration and operations; supervise hematology/oncology clinical research staff members responsible for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of such functions
• Work with the hematology/oncology clinical research healthcare team to provide patients with medical care services within the recognized standard of care for hematology/oncology clinical research patients
• Demonstrate excellent care and concern for research participants, following all relevant protections and safeguards to minimize risks and ensure voluntary participation and confidentiality
• Maintain data integrity through conscientious use of relevant tools and employing a system of checks and balances
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards
• Record complete, timely, and legible medical records
• Participate in the research and teaching programs of the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine, the College of Medicine, and the University of Toledo
• Participate in service assignments of importance to the Division of Hematology/Oncology Department of Medicine the College of Medicine, and the University of Toledo
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
• Master’s degree in clinical research administration
• CCRA certification
Communication and other skills:
• Ability to successfully teach and mentor medical students, residents and fellows.
• Experience collaborating
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
