Job Description:
Under the direction of CVO leadership, is responsible for security, operation, processing, performance, and maintenance of the provider database for all UTMC practitioners’ to ensure accuracy of all provider specific information. Prepares written reports comprised of a thorough analysis of data from the Credentials/enrollment database. Assists with the data entry, analysis, retrieval, and reporting. Generates reports and coordinates submission of selected data to external agencies for purpose of regulatory compliance. Provides support to the CVO credentialing and enrollment processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Degree in database technology, information technology, computer science, or closely related field is required. Background in computer science preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience managing a database required.
• 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting required.
Background in credentialing/enrollment of physicians/practitioner a plus.
• Evidence of proficient ability to use office automation software including word processing (MS Word required) and spreadsheet programs (MS Excel required).
Proficiency in Crystal reports and/or SQL a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills required.
• Knowledge of planning, performing, guiding, reporting, and coordinating the effort necessary to maintain a quality database.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MD Staff credentialing database.
