Job Description:

The Education Coordinator is responsible for oversight and monitoring of activities related to the Department of Undergraduate Medical Education in accordance with the Liaison Committee on Medial Education (LCME). This position involves curricular implementation, documentation, planning, and coordination of activities related to current policies and procedures to the department and the Undergraduate Medical Education program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree or equivalent through work experience preferred.
3-5 years of administrative and/or academic support experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and related applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Must be highly organized, self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision, and able to multi-task high-priority projects.
Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive written and verbal matters.
Must exercise excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requires a willingness and ability to learn new computer programs associated with the department such as blackboard, banner, and curriculum management platforms.
Ability to interpret and understand broad concepts and be efficient in time management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
Experience working in undergraduate medical education.
Experience and/or working knowledge of LCME accreditation requirements.
Leadership and management skills are helpful.
Prior experience with program development and implementation.
Experience with medical terminology preferred.
