The primary responsibility of the Research Associate is to conduct research in the Interfacial Thermal-Fluid Engineering Lab related to heat transfer and energy efficiency of engineering systems. The incumbent will work closely with Dr Sojoudi. The primary responsibility of the Research Associate is to develop and conduct computational simulations to demonstrate the efficacy of a steady-state reaction device. This role requires expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermomechanical analysis, and reactive species modeling. The incumbent will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI to formulate and implement changes to the computational models and redesign the primary reactor to achieve the desired results. This position is funded by an awarded contract to The University of Toledo by the Office of Naval Research, “Effusion Cooling for Hypersonic Ground Testing.”
